A new and expanded Winter Market coming to the Northside of Madison.
NORTHSIDE ARTS CRAFTS FARMER & FOOD FAIRE to be at the Northside TownCenter, at the corner of Northport Dr. and Sherman Ave. (near Warner Park). Every Sunday starting November 2 from 9am to 3pm. Brunch 10-2. Watch for the signs along the street later this month.
The Northside Arts Crafts & Food Faire, located in the former Mielke's True Value at the Northside Towne Center, corner of Northport Dr. and Sherman Av., got off to a rousing start and will continue on it's merry journey there every Sunday in November and December from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The diversity of the vendors' offerings is truly astounding and inspiring considering the nature of this "local event". Here is only a small sampling of the wide range of fare offered: Czech Kolaches, collectible marbles, Buffalo Jerky, handmade quilts, African masks, Tibetan prayer wheels, dried Mushrooms, Christmas wreaths, Farmers cheese, table centerpieces, Gourmet Sausages, Gourmet Chocolates, cookie & donuts, Grass-feed Beef, handmade candles, Gold and Silver Jewelry, custom seasonings, and a wide variety of fresh produce, vegetables, root vegetables, dried flowers, Baked Goods, jelly's and preserves, fresh Milk and dairy, lotions and potions, soaps and scents, and every kind of Holiday gift decorations, foods and baskets!
But "that's not all"! Many local artists, photographers, potters, sculptors and representatives of just about every visual art form imaginable are being given the opportunity to display and sell their works on the front wall of the Food Faire(displayed at no charge). Here people meet and greet and survey the art while sipping gourmet coffees, hot chocolate, or cider. While at the market, take a break and try some of the best freshly prepared breakfast, lunch or brunch fare available on the Northside. A special Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday. Fruit drinks are available.
Booth and display space is available at reduced rates or no charge to local volunteer groups, civic organizations, community outreach programs, youth groups, schools or churches as a way to say thank you for their service to the Northside. We've even brought back the "good old bake sales". Volunteers are needed for advertising, publicity, event supervision, and food service.
