Halloween is fast approaching and the buzz around it in Madison this year is...spooky quiet. The rumors are that the big party on State Street will be on November 1, the Saturday after Halloween. No worries, if you want to party on holiday proper, Dane101 has you covered with our third annual Rockin' Holla' Ween! Last year, we brought you the Velvet Underground, Madonna versus the Clash, the Ramones, and the ZomBeatles and were one attendee short of selling the joint out. Can we beat it this year? We think so because this is our line-up (in order of appearance):
The Low Czars as the Kinks
The Buddy Hollys as Weezer
Apparently Nothing as Nirvana
Tangy and Friends as Manchester United (Oasis, Stone Roses)
The Gomers as Spinal Tap
8 PM / $8 cover / 21 and up/ $6 w/ canned good donation
Costumes are highly encouraged and many, many prizes will be rewarded throughout the night.
Admission is $8, but $6 with a canned good for Second Harvest. A portion of the proceeds will be going to an as yet unnamed charitable organization.
