Can you transform a three-page press release into a compelling four-line event listing? If so, you may be able to help us compile the most complete and accurate events and services database in Dane County.

For our part-time Listings Writer position, we require a detail-oriented, self-directed, focused individual with writing talent and excellent spelling, proofreading and database skills. This position pays $10 an hour, for 15 hours each week. Training starts immediately.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sell advertising into newspaper, online and special sections;
* Work with an established client list and develop new advertisers;
* Engage in sales efforts that include face-to-face sales and active outbound phone sales
* Provide excellent customer service; and
* Help small businesses create great ads and grow with the local economy.

REQUIREMENTS
* The ability to generate ideas, and develop proposals and promotions;
* Two years' successful sales or business experience; and
* Excellent communications skills, motivation and drive.

Full-time position includes commission, bonuses and full benefits package. As a sales professional with Isthmus you will be provided with excellent training and support.
