RESPONSIBILITIES
* Sell advertising into newspaper, online and special sections;
* Work with an established client list and develop new advertisers;
* Provide excellent customer service; and
* Help small businesses create great ads and grow with the local economy.

REQUIREMENTS
* The ability to generate ideas, and develop proposals and promotions;
* Two years' successful sales or business experience; and
* Excellent communications skills, motivation and drive.

Full-time position includes commission, bonuses and full benefits package. As a sales professional with Isthmus you will be provided with excellent training and support.

Editorial Intern

Are you the write type?

Isthmus is looking for a sharp, motivated and experienced student journalist to work as a part-time intern for our award-winning alternative weekly newspaper. Duties will include writing news and feature stories, and assisting the editorial staff with other projects. The ideal candidate is well-read, curious and self-starting, with experience writing for publications in deadline situations. Hours number approximately 20 per week. Start- and end- dates are flexible. And, don't worry, we won't make you use a typewriter.
