Overheard Conversations in Madison

I'm stealing an idea from my friend's website. SombreroFallout passed along a website that consists of random, overheard conversations in NYC. Some are funnier than others. Some just deserve a smirk. I hope other people post overheard Madison conversations in this thread. It might add to our enjoyment of this fine city.

A group of college kids taking a break from moving by enjoying the night air on the Capitol steps:

Girl #1: "I don't want any drama this year."
Girl #2: "But you have to have drama to avoid drama. Just not hardcore drama."

Amazed that they came up with such a brilliant idea.
I love hearing what I can't believe and listening to coversations I shouldn't.
Of course, the DP did this years ago (initiated either by me or nevermore. Ok, it was me):
People Say The Darndest Things #1 and #2
The response was great! It went on for pages and pages! Poeple love to spy on other people!
Alas, the old pages seem to have dissolved in the non-archival limbo.

Overheard converstions in Madison

stuck on a bus listening to this flake on her yellphone.

"Hello... yeah, I'm on the bus... yeah, about last night... yeah, I couldn't believe he said that to her... her face was like so oh my god you know what I mean? It was like totally awesome. (She laughs) You know what it was like? You know what I'm saying? Oh my god oh my god oh my god..."

And this continued until she got off the bus 15 minutes later.

The bus drivers should be empowered to kill any passengers who behave this way.

And people wonder why a guy might get a little surly after doing that job for 10 or 15 years listening to that same crap over and over again...Gee, why doesn't Mr. Busdriver have a Smiley Face plastered on his head?

Someone debuted this brilliant website awhile back and I've been contributing, along with others. Great idea and great name for a website!
