The New Girl is hungry for some kosher eats

Postby e$ » Mon May 28, 2007 1:10 pm

I am on a quest for kosher food! Anyone know of restaurants and/or grocery stores that may assist my Jewish palate?

Thanks!

Try Sentry Hilldale for groceries. Bonus: open 24 hours.

Ella's Deli has the kosher thing covered.

I can't honestly vouch for it in regard to any other aspects of an enjoyable dining experience.

Though some of the animated stuff is cool in a creepy way.

Ella's is "kosher style," but not truly Kosher. Gotta go to Chicago for that.

Does Yue Wah have kosher stuff? I could have sworn I've seen some kosher food in those aisles.

I don't know about the city, but I've lost count how many deli's I've seen come and go, over the last 25 years, in their burbs.

Sentry does have some nice kosher style food. Tons of Europeans live over there.

For what you have to pay, which is plenty-Ellas food leaves alot to be desired...I paid over 6 bucks for a "Blue cheese burger" and was served a lonely patty, no fixings mind you, and some blue cheese dressing...
And the matzo ball soup was both rubbery and greasy-not good! Probably microwaved!

It is a great place for Ice cream, however and the paper mache robotics are (or should be) regarded as one of the seven wonders of Southern Wisconsin.
