What should I sing at Happy Hour Gomeroke tonight?

My voice is pretty wrecked from singing a show last night, but Happyoke is just too important to miss.

Previous winners: "Born To Run" Bruce Springsteen, "Centerfold" The J. Geils Band, "In The Ghetto" Elvis Presley and "Good Lovin'" The Rascals.

I'd shoot for the moon and do "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang".

But that's just me.

I'm a risk-taker.

Not a bad thought, but it ain't on their list.
The only Nuge they know is "Cat Scratch Fever" (too overplayed), "Great White Buffalo" (too hard to sing) and "Strangehold" (too damn long, with way too much time where I'd have nothing to do onstage but stand around looking like a doofus.)

Thanks, everybody!

As a firm believer in majority rule, I did indeed sing "Stand By Your Man."
I'm not exactly sure what The Gomers were playing (some sorta jazzy blues number) but the end product was pure Happyoke Magic.

I'll try to get up a "what should I sing" thread for next Tuesday's regularly scheduled Gomeroke soon, so y'all have more time to vote (I know how important this is to everyone.) Feel free to post songs you'd like to be considered for the next poll (but no, I ain't doin' "It's Raining Men," so don't ask...)
