Are official total costs in yet? I don't think so. The GAB estimates for both special elections - the May recall primary and the June recall - were $9 million each. For a total of $18 million.
Was it worth it?

Since it is a part of our democracy in Wisconsin, yes.

Considering all the money Walker put into it, he must have thought it was worth a lot.

Why do you want to take the power to decide a recall election away from the voters, Meade?

Thanks garg.
Umm.... isn't pretty much most of madison fueled by money skimmed from the working families from elsewhere?
Yes.
And now the career madison leftist soglin is whining about having to actually give other people a little of their monies back...after madison got its cut and laundered it through their economy?

I've got an idea--let's cut State of WI services by 2/3 and let all those decisions be made locally, within the local community instead of in some isolated, unresponsive and dysfunctional political, far off place like DC. I mean madison. :D

Cut the state if WI's gas skimming scam from 30 cents per gallon to, well, how about a dime? It's not like they do any work to get those tens of millions of dollars to launder. I'd be in favor of this, how about you? Let the people in different communities be free to show their values.

Stu seriously stumbled in answering this question, so I'll try a non radio personality.

"So jonny, why was Gov. Walker recalled again?"

OK. I'm kind of sick of road construction, and your proposal would certainly end that irritant for me.

Shouldn't road construction be on the 'who uses them' level?*
And isn't this why county roads are maintained by, well, the county?
City roads are maintained by the city?
Aren't state highways maintained by the state (directly or indirectly)?
And interstate maintained by the federals? (directly or indirectly)?

I thought Republicans were all for a use tax. Tax gas to help build the roads and maintain infrasructure, make the users pay. If you don't drive and buy gas you don't pay.

Appartently now even that is too much tax for Republican.

Of course you wouldn't have a state sponsored ID so you might not be able to vote. But of course if you don't drive to vote you aren't a "real" American anyhow.
