Dreams

If it doesn't fit anywhere else, it fits here

Nope. And we all know the only palm trees in Madison are inflatable ones. Three strikes, that's it -- and that was strike four.

This is the closest I can get, only mine was red where that one is gold, and it should show Wisconsin in the background not the Rockies. Had a column shift, and the tailgate was missing. I loved that thing. 1970 Ford.

We could do a "find a picture of your favorite real or imaginary car" topic.

The transmission was going and I was starting to see odd electrical issues across the board. Faith cast aside, primed to sell and to this day, miss that car more than the first love I lost.

I hate commas.

This was my absolute favorite car:

My college wheels. '63 Falcon.
Small inline 6. Three on the tree.
It could go 65 or 70 on a good day (downhill with a tailwind).

DEAR CHILD, YOUR ANGER IS BOTH COMIC AND MISDIRECTED. WHEN IT COMES TO A BEING AS GRAND AND VAST AS I, THE CONCEPT OF "WHERE" IS QUITE INAPPROPRIATE.

The theological implications are staggering....

IT TURNS OUT THEY'RE GREAT WITH NUMBERS AND AGRICULTURE, BUT BORING AS HELL. Bing Crosby showed up last night; what an amazing voice.

Fred Astaire came in later but he was decrepit so no dancing from him. He did give me a Kleenex though.

I've had the teeth shattering dream now and then for years. It's a disturbing one.

My strangest reoccurring one is where I'm in a room with these huge floating masses, like the size of a dumptruck. They seem to be very heavy. They all have these tiny strings attached to them, like a human hair, and I'm trying to move these things around by pulling on the strings but I'm constantly afraid of breaking them (the strings). That's it. I've had that one since childhood.

That's a very cool one.

I've been listening to people's dreams and paying attention to my own for years and years and I never heard one like that before.

My own weirdest ones are where I'm apparently a porpoise. I can swim under water just fine, and other porpoises (or something) are with me and they show me interesting things in the sea, like the bottom of a ship with the propellers, seaweed full of plastic garbage (which greatly annoyed them), and even a newborn porpoise (which was pink and rubbery). I have never been diving and in real life I'm not very interested in the sea at all and have only seen it a few times. Go figure.

As in the Black Uhuru lyric: "I was just smoking my expensive cigar."

Then there is N.S.U. by Cream:

Smoking my cigar,
The only time I'm happy's when I play my guitar."
