Who's serving Turkey Day dinner?

Postby Henry Vilas » Thu Nov 18, 2010 1:13 pm

We usually have the Madison chapter of the Vilas clan over for Thanksgiving dinner, but all except one sister will be out of town. So the three of us are looking for a local restaurant that is serving a traditional Turkey dinner this coming Thursday. I checked today's Isthmus, but didn't see any ads yet. Anyone with a recommendation?

I saw a poster in the door of the Orpheum advertising Thanksgiving dinner. No prices ... call for details.

Capitol Chop House. Not sure of the menu but we've already obtained reservations.

I believe Maharaja is open on Thanksgiving.

Indian food is quite appropriate for Thanksgiving.

Here's a TDP guide to Thanksgiving dinners in Madison, published last year. A bunch of these places are likely to be serving again this year.

Here's the one we use - they check pretty carefully every year. Don't eat too much!

Guess I should have purchased that ad in color instead of black & white.

Hey, so we have a really great Thanksgiving meal here at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor's Club. Here's our menu with price and reservation info.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll pass them on to Ms Vilas and my sister and let them decide. I think that is a wise decision.

Great Dane is serving Thanksgiving Brunch/Dinner depending on which place one goes to. Go to the site, select a location and then select "upcoming events" on the side menu. It may be a great excuse to check out the new eastside location.

That post makes me want to reconsider the full day of cooking followed by hours of dishes that awaits me next week.

Great Dane Hilldale for the sit down turkey dinner. It was only so-so.

We went there for the brunch. Meh.

I like the expansion, but the food at THAT Great Dane is always just so blah.

My family needs to stick to the Great Dane Fitchburg.
