Why wait? You can see another major at a Wisconsin course in a couple months.

Ah, the PGA or, as I call it, golf's worst major. Seriously, is there any reason to care about it? It's the major for guys who never win other majors. Quick: Who won last year?

The U.S. Open, on the other hand....

Anybody ever played this course? Greens fees run a cool $160 and there are no carts; you either carry your own (no pull carts) or hire a caddy at $50 plus $35 tip. Not bad. I grew up caddying when a good "loop" carrying two bags ("double") got me $40.

It also appears to be midway between Oconomowoc and Hartland, a region of the state that might be less interesting than suburban Indianapolis.

Are we going to build an off-ramp for this one, too?

I prefer the U.S. Open, too, but the PGA always has the strongest field among the Majors. Can't think of the name of the Korean that won it last year, but it's not like Lucas Glover(US Open champ) is exactly a household name, either.

Before last year, previous 5 PGA champs: Harrington, Woods, Woods, Mickelson, Vijay. Quite a few majors in that group.

US Open: Woods, Cabrera, Ogilvy, Campbell, Goosen.

Y.E. Yang. Held off Tiger, and I thought one of the more compelling finishes of the year....with the obvious exception of the British with Tom Watson's effort.

Crispin's brotha from anotha motha? Maybe if Lucas freaked out on Letterman after his victory he, too, would be a household name. Let that be a lesson...

Uh, have you ever actually been to this part of the state? It's actually quite scenic. All the rolling hills and farmland vistas that one would expect of Kettle Moraine country.

Not to mention, Holy Hill, a state landmark, will certainly provide some cool backdrops when CBS busts out the crane camera:

...was won by a European for the first time in 40 years, beating out an unknown Frenchman that was ranked #391 in the world.

Spot-on analysis, jjoyce.
