Wanted to beat Art Paul to it.

Art Paul I'm sure you or Mr. Colbert will keep us up to date on the effects of the bump.

Catching that last night was one of the most surreal moments...completely out of the blue, our own Art Paul...wow.

That "Broccoli Song" went on a constant loop in my mind...argh!

Now battling my ear-worm cure...the theme to "I Dream of Jeannie"...which will win?

Art Paul was on State St. earlier this evening and I saw a woman go up to him and ask him about his mention on Colbert. So is seems it has bumped up his local celeb status slightly (at least temporarily).

My fave Art Paul memory: Art Paul opening for Combustible Edison at Club de Wash many moons ago. We were next to a table of Minnesotans who were completely stumped by Art Paul's music. They obviously needed their horizons expanded. I can just imagine one of them catching the reference on Colbert and having a vivid flashback to Madison, 1995.

I just heard about this today. It may seem pretty random, but it most likely has something to do with Ben Karlin being one of the co-creators of The Daily Show. Ben graduated from the UW and he used to be over at The Onion back in their earlier days when their office was right on State Street. I was interviewed by him when I was selected as a potential writer back in the mid 90's (long story).

Congrats, Art. Pretty cool!

a) Join U2
b) Record a duet with Lil' Wayne (go heavy on the auto-tune)
c) Write another song about your cat

@ Art Paul - write a new theme song for the Colbert Report, record it, send a copy with an effusive "thanks for the bump!" Or better yet, make a video while performing said song on State Street and forward that.

Here is your answers:

a) Do you think my music and U2's would sound good together ?

b) I don't know about Lil' Wayne but I have recorded a song on auto-tune and I'm waiting for them to send it to me so I can put it on my myspace.

c) About my cat well I haven't had a pet cat since my Mother died and I had to give the cat to a good owner so I could get an apartment.

However I have written other interesting songs like Tiger Woods, Donald Driver, Sharks, & The World isn't going to End Instantly which are all on my newest CD U're The Best which you can get as well as any of my other 30 CDs at http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/ArtPaulSchlosser

I did write a song about Steven Colbert and someone recorded it on their poor camera and you can watch it at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4UqZsIm7Vg

I wrote it spur of the moment and I'm not sure if it's my best song but check it out if you like.

Also I was interviewed about my reaction to Steven Mentioning me on his show and you can see that video on youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkSNlW0Mh64

a) In a word, no, but I am far from an arbitor of good taste or even somebody that knows anything about what might make good music. It might be the greatest collaboration since the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

b) Awesome. Maybe you can get a tear tattooed next to your eye like the Wee Wayne?

c) Time to get a new cat!

a) Hey did you check out Art Paul Schlosser{The Tribute !} ?

It's kind of like if Art Paul join U2.

b) I like the way God made me so I don't want to add body art to me.

c)Do you know what it's like to have a pet cat ?

I like taking care of my Son Simon better besides they don't allow cats in apartments.
