Super annoying. Accidentally clicked on it too, then came looking for a thread to complain about it on.

I just noticed that when I mouse over where it used to be, i.e. when it is in smaller mode, it still expands.

I'd try to break the news to your pop up designer gently. It may seem like a cool idea in theory, yet drops the ball in terms of usability. Just saying.

I still haven't seen it. I'm actively looking for it. Nada.

EDIT: Ooh! There it was!

...

All this hubbub over that?

I didn't even submit, I just stepped into the room and that thing rolled over on me. I was all the way on the opposite side of the room and that thing rolled over on me.

Hey Isthmus, TheBookPolice REALLY wants a job.

As I was typing this, the APT thing appeared again.

By the way, about 15-20 of those click through situations of mine were mistakes APT. Talk to the Isthmus about making your ad less cumbersome/cool.

I have a job. The APT ad went away on its own after a second. I just don't see the big deal, but maybe I'm not the spastic clicker some of you guys are. No offense. I hear it can be managed with medication.

Perhaps that's true in IE, but with Firefox, it takes several seconds to close, it pops open if you get anywhere near it, and it's intrusive on your content (it popped open and blocked my view of the login boxes just now as I was trying to post this!)

Don't make me regret my decision (done at your behest) to turn off ad-blocker on TDF.
The teeming masses have spoken -- that ad needs to go!

Alright, I'm ready for ad-blocker. Anyone have a link to a good blocker?
