Bookman mentioned this one-Southern Tier Pumking, New York

IMO it ends the debate, I challenge you to try this beer and not like it (even if you hate pumpkin beers) and rate it as the best (if you do). I have never heard of this brewery before, but my bro was in town last weekend and we hit Brasserie V for brunch on Sunday. He ordered it, I scoffed, he let me taste it, I apologized. Best. Pumpkin. Beer. Ever.

He works for a large East coast beer distributor in the craft/imports division so I shoulda known. I was jealous even though I was drinking Delerium on tap. Its 11 bucks a bottle (big one), so it ain't cheap, but its amazing. After that taste, I'm looking for more Southern Tier, any variety.

Last year I was really into "Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale" which I can't seem to find around here.

I believe that Anheiser-Busch only bought it recently, as I don't remember their logo on the bottle.

Sure, it's post-Halloween, and there's no 50% off sale, but Steve's on University still has about a case left of Pumpking ($6.99 per bottle). I picked up a bottle yesterday, and plan on enjoying it tonight.

And you can find an IPA and another bitter ale from Southern Tier at (presumably) all Steve's locations, plus Woodman's East (and probably West).
