Jiro Dreams of Sushi
This was the most beautifully filmed documentary I have seen.
A few forons mentioned they saw it when it came to the Orpheum. TheBookPolice also wrote a positive review.
I won’t spoil the surprise as to which is more critical, the fish or the rice. You will just have to see it yourself.
I really liked how Jiro would touch his nose.
I also enjoyed the view on conservation presented in the film. Sushi in supermarkets? Never bought it, don’t trust it. Why don’t they just stop selling it there? I don’t even want to think of the waste and the freegans who eat it. (A funny and informative link, or maybe I just like the drawing:) [pronounced drawering
like Simon from SNL, circa 1990, hee hee] http://pbmo.wordpress.com/2010/10/18/freeganism/
I thought this movie paralleled the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
Emphasis on "quality."
