Ironic that the one thing planned for Union Corners is a drugstore, when there's already a freakin' Walgreens a block away.

That is not ironic. It is good business sense.

That thing looks scary and a pain in the ass. I can't imagine anyone in a wheel chair using it. Remember last winter when the guy in the wheel chair was robbed by a "good samaratan" woman who helped him across the street, navigating the unplowed intersection right there? How are they going to plow that thing, it will be interesting how it fairs in the winter.....the ice that will collect on it and the wicked wind that will whip across will make it unusable.

It sure is purty though.

And I on the other hand like the idea of it, although I have not used it yet, and realize it was not built primarily for wheelchair use.

To each her/his own. If it looks scary and too much work for you, don't use it. As a biker for exercise and transportation, I love the idea of not having to wait for lights or traffic, if all it means is pedalling a little harder to get up a slight hill.

I also like the bike bridge over Stoughton Road near Milwaukee street. So much better than dealing with traffic and the many lights at Stoughton & Milwaukee intersection.

I love, love, love this bridge!
It is not a "Bridge to nowhere" as I ride my non-polluting bicycle on it to get over the mother fuckin death monsters on my way to Olbrich Fields to play softball or to the recycling place to sell aluminum cans.

Unless you have used it then you have nothing to complain about.

Well it looks and acts like a bike bridge- as always pedestrians are ignored (I did walk across it once- might be ok if you're going for a meandering walk, but absolutely not the shortest distance between two points)

It's definitely the long way across the street especially if you're on foot. The only time it would really be practical is when East Wash is nothing but solid traffic.

I've been across that bridge several times but not during rush hour or after a Badger game. What's the traffic is like then?
