There's always time to discuss digital culture and the changes it wreaks.

I was wondering what isp people are using and what speeds they're getting... That way we/I have a better idea of what works best in what areas of town. I currently have TDS wi-max and live on the north side near Warner Park. It worked good for a while, but I think there are trees blocking the signal somewhat and my speeds have gotten pretty bad. You can goto http://www.speedtest.net to see what you get and press copy forum link and paste it here: Thats what I just got. My speeds vary and my upload sometimes goes up; but usually at this. What are you getting? What area of town do you live?

In Fitchburg, about a mile south of the beltline. I use subscribe to the 20m service, though prime time hours like this is does get a bit slowed. Still, keeps hosted games working splendid...

u-verse = AT&T's fiberoptic lines.
I think it would be more helpful if folks posted what speed their paying for, and what they actually get. I could be bottlenecked at 3m down if I dropped to a lower plan..
