Among us "townies" it's ALL Madison, my friends. The only difference is in whether you're smelling Nag Champa or fresh cut grass.

There are sides to Madison? The city's like 10 miles across...

Today's WSJ article about how Madison is the 5th gayest city in the U.S. mentioned that the East Side was "hippie crunchy".

Mmmmm....sounds like a brand of cereal.

The biggest surprise to me is that Atlanta is number 1.
I didn't know there were gay people south of the Mason-Dixon.

I almost fell over when I read that. Madison??? The 5th gayest city in the U.S.? Interestingly enough, most gays and lesbians I know do not find Madison particularly gay-friendly. Perhaps less "gay hostile" than many other places. But, then again, is there any city in the U.S. that is really gay-friendly? I guess it's just a matter of degree.

I venture out East every so often - typically to Odana Golf Course or Le Tigre Lounge.

From the gay friendly article:

"heaps of cute blond dreadlocked nuevo organic farmer dudes can be found at the Willy Street Co-op or the Farmers’ Market drinking their own beer from mason jars."

I am constantly tripping over these fuckers. Where'd they all come from?

How many is a "heap" anyway?

It's the standard which potentially gay cities are judged against.
