ITCHIN', BURNIN', YEARNIN' TO PLAY MUSIC AGAIN -TIPS/ADVICE?

Postby DRAGONBOYGNARLY64 » Tue Aug 28, 2012 8:16 pm

Planning to dust my guitars off and my golden vocal chords and show off some of my new outfits that I purchased at thrift shops around town. Anybody throw me some tips/advice on which open mics are good (or not), or on busking downtown?

The Mickey's open mike on Sundays is pretty swell, provided you don't have to get up for your square day job the next morning.

I'm sorry, but are we talking to THE Phil Gnarly?

Yup, which works when I'm unemployed, which is about 6 months out of the year, just not in a row.

I will try it out some day, thanks for the tip!

1) Don't be sorry.

2) Yes, THE Phil Gnarly. I saw some other young dude had used my moniker on MySpace, didn't know whether to feel flattered or run-over...

Then I thought, can I really consider that name like property? Suppose Declan McManus had never dared to call himself "Elvis", what would the world be like then? I don't know the answer to my own rhetorical question. :?:
