Ooooh, amen, brotha. I think there's still a Heavy Balls sticker in our rehearsal room (I think...).

honestly the only band i'd want to see together again would be the Weaker Youth Ensemble, only 'cuz i never saw them live.

didn't the rythym section go to the Blue Meanies?

oh, never saw Stinkfish either.

weaker youth/stinkfish reunion.

You know who else I wish would reunite?
Swill.
Good ol' Swill.

And if they could do it this Friday, Feb. 23rd, for Happy Hour at the Hign Noon Saloon that would be ideal!

That's right, I'm shameless.

That's Swill! (Eug may never spell 'OuttaToonDorks' right but that won't stop me from givin' Swill! their correct exclamation).

How about Phil Gnarly and the Tough Guys?

Almost happened this month... I was already contacting venues... but alas, in true form, Phil couldn't get out of Japan. Something about extradition laws and an incident from the '80's with a beer truck and some sheep, I guess.

Maybe this summer, though...

in the meantime, there's www.myspace.com/philgnarlyandthetoughguys

Even though I did enjoy seeing the Bar Tabbies, there was nothing like a Tar Babies show.
Poopshovel was also great.

Agreed. Cuda was awesome. So was Sailor Harlette (and they always got my batter up).

Word has it that Jeff Jagielo will be taking Squarewave to a Madison stage in March. Two Ivory Library members, and they've got thatsound.

I remember reading about Squarewave and making a mental note to pick up the CD, but it didn't stick. Thanks for the reminder.

I'll be picking it up when they and Sunshine for the Blind play on March 2 at the Momo.

There's something uber lame about the notion of a reunion gig less than a year after the actual breakup.

I think the rule should be you can't reunite until everyone's forgotten the songs and has to relearn them. Makes the event more special.

It would also help if a couple of the band members went completely bald first, or, at least, I'd find the whole affair far more amusing under such circumstances.

We are planning another breakup though ... because nobody does that.
