Today's image is titled theBubbleCar! and was photographed by Thom Jones.
This photo shows one of essential elements of the Willy Street Fair, the infamous Bubble Car. "An old caddy convertible also converted to blow bubbles," as described by Jones, the vehicle takes center stage in the parade every year before entertaining the crowds through the day while parked in the middle of the street. Jones shot several photos from this year's 30th annual festival on Williamson, including a presentation by the Mad Rollin' Dolls, a look at the official Packers TV tent, and a stilt-level view of the afternoon crowds.
Several more Madisonians shared photos of the party that serves as the unofficial end of summer in town. Galleries from the fair were published online by Nataraj Hauser, Ray Rupnow, Kandy Watson, and Emily Mills, with others available for viewing here, here, here, and here.
