Isthmus is pleased to announce a new take on a long-standing event: the Isthmus Food & Wine Festival is set for Friday and Saturday, October 19 and 20 at the Alliant Energy Center Exhibition Hall in Madison.
The Isthmus Food & Wine Festival connects guests with an amazing range of food and drink through exhibits, demonstrations, shopping and sampling, all with the quirky, enjoyable touch that makes Isthmus unique.
Isthmus has been at the forefront of the modern food movement for more than three decades; the highest quality food and drink is in our DNA. This event builds on that trademark Isthmus journalism: Real restaurant reviews and reliable food news, columnists and recipes showcasing seasonal ingredients, and coverage of the slow-food revolution and the rise of celebrated local chefs.
The new Isthmus Food & Wine Festival offers more of a focus on the local food and dining culture, bringing in adventurous chefs, bartenders, and wine experts to share samples and secrets, highlighting products and techniques for the "at-home" chef.
Isthmus is working with local restaurants to line up a showcase of the talent from their kitchens, and the masterpieces they create. The festival also features the finest regional food and drink, much made right here in Wisconsin, as well as wines from across the country and around the world. The festival is planned as a two-day marketplace for products both new and familiar, as well as a delicious learning experience.
Festival tickets go on sale August 2. Follow updates on this epicurean extravaganza on our website, IsthmusFoodandWine.com. Watch for more details as they develop in Isthmus, at TheDailyPage.com, and on Facebook.
