Although I find soccer to be a tad un-American, I'm excited for the World Cup. Nationalism does funny things to sports we otherwise wouldn't care about (sorry to all those pole-vaulting fans out there). In addition to the U.S. of A, I will be cheering for all the underdogs, in particular the really pathetic ones, like New Zealand and their socceroo neighbors, Australia.
