Capitol Square in downtown Madison buzzed at midday Wedneday with the cheers and chants of a “Tea Party” broadly protesting government tax policies as well as the policies of the Obama administration and the Doyle administration in Wisconsin.

The rally was organized by Fight Back Wisconsin, the state chapter of Americans for Prosperity, a national advocacy organization promoting deregulation and lower taxes. Speakers included Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan, talk radio personality Vicki McKenna and fellow talkers Jerry Bader and Pat Snider, Milwaukee God Squad pastor David King, Wisconsin GOP chairman Reince Priebus, Wisconsin Family Action chief Julaine Appling, La Crosse mayor Matt Harter, and Madison high school student Melika Willoughby.

Wow the grossly misinformed masses gathering to fight for nothing in particular. Breathtaking.

Was anti gay rights activist and speaker Julaine Appling uncomfortable when everyone sang along to Queen's "We Will Rock You"?
